Telecoms company secures contract win with Welsh university
A Cardiff-based telecoms company has been awarded a contract by the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC) to maintain the cabling across its three campuses.
TWL Voice and Data has secured the three year contract which will see the company oversee the university’s existing cabling for its computers, telephones and wifi, in addition to installing new cabling where required.
The telecoms company which has recently moved its headquarters to Cardiff was awarded the contract after a competitive tender against a number of other telecoms suppliers.
On being awarded the contract, managing director of TWL Voice and Data, Andrew Nicholson said: “We are delighted to have secured this contract win with UWIC. With over a decade of experience in cabling, we are confident that we have the expertise and knowledge to enable us to offer a broad range of data cabling solutions to match all of our new client’s needs.
“We will be working closely with the university over the next three years to ensure that all their cabling requirements are met, which in turn will enable the university to work both smarter and more efficiently.”
Established in 2002, TWL specialises in providing comprehensive telecommunications solutions including telephone systems, voice and data cabling, mobile solutions, call recording and office telephone line solutions to businesses in south Wales and across the UK.
