St Albans AFC Under 11 Football Squad now proudly sport new playing kit and warm-up jumpers thanks to sponsorship from twl voice and data Ltd.

 

The long established club provides local children with the chance to partake in a team sport which they can play and train for weekly and at which they have excelled within the senior level of the Cardiff & District league.

The club, which is based in Tremorfa, boasts its own clubhouse and on-site facilities and has now close to 100 players and a committee that meets on a monthly basis to organise and help with the running of the club.

Founded a good many years, it was only 5 years ago when as number of the fathers involved with the club realised the need to introduce junior and mini football again into the club. Over the past five seasons the junior element of the club has developed into one of the leading sides in Cardiff, with 7 sides in total, 5 participating at mini level and 2 at junior level.
Jason Proctor, Committee Chairman and Under 11 Squad Coach said, “The club is always actively looking for business’ to help with its funding and the sponsorship by twl of the under 11 section is gratefully received.

“The Under 11 Squad has played 21 games this season (as of Saturday 20th of October), has won 16, drawn 4 and lost just the 1 – and have scored 48 goals along the way and conceded just 11!

In addition, during the month of October the boys have kept 8 consecutive clean sheets which is another more than impressive statistic. With an unbeaten run of 12 games on the trot the boys continue to progress by the week and are fast turning into a very hard team to beat.”
